It is truly an honour to serve as principal of St. Mary’s School. My journey in education started in 1993, when I became a teacher at St. Mary’s School. I have spent nine years in providing my services as a class teacher. Thereafter, I took over the charge of principal at St. Mary’s School, since the year 2010.
With over 24 years of educational experience, I feel like our school is like our home. In my opinion, the position of principal is not a job, but instead, an opportunity to lead our school, to accomplish great things. The role of principal entails many exciting opportunities associated with student achievement. However, most importantly, my personal and professional goal is to provide children at St. Mary’s with the best educational experience possible – one that will build a foundation for life-long learning and ensure overall development of the student.
As a principal my aim has always been to put the kids first! My belief is that all students can learn and it is our job to support all of their needs. I have always felt the essence of the children in loving their school. The passion and the enthusiasm of the hardworking staff of the school will always be evident, in our teaching. In a collaborative effort, we want children to thrive well and set commendable standards in all ways possible. As educators, we need to discover that each child is unique in learning and adapting abilities. At St. Mary’s School, our mission is to provide student specific and keep into consideration all the things to ensure conducive environment for all of our students.
Our school is a place where students learn and have fun. We ensure an excellent learning environment that is full of positivity, which is safe, thoroughly caring and a perfect place to learn and grow. I have always enjoyed investing my time in getting to know the St. Mary’s School community – the students, parents, families, teachers, staff and the community members. Our aim has always been to provide the essentials needed for success, through the provision of a safe and warm environment. The staff at St. Mary’s School will always be steadfast in working together with the priority of having every student’s best interest at heart.
My message to all parents is to stay involved by staying in contact with their child’s teacher. For ensuring their child’s progress, the parents are advised to raise their concerns they have at any time. This form of two-way monitoring will help in ensuring the success of their child and guarantee their well-being.
Being the principal of such an institution, i feel myself to be extremely fortunate and blessed. This year again we shall continue with the countless exciting events and activities that are already planned for all of our students. Again, I am thrilled to be St. Mary’s School Principal and I am looking forward to embarking on another exciting school year.
